So a fair amount of moisture up here. Wish I could send some down your way, however I'm grateful for the drizzle starting on thursday as I hope that will help to germinate that grass seed.Calliehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05704537697611988375noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8926013554523279624.post-37916773040825159232008-04-15T08:23:00.000-07:002008-04-15T08:23:00.000-07:00We've had loads of rain but it still hasn't brough...We've had loads of rain but it still hasn't brought our water levels up to normal after the drought.

I don't know what we're going to do to get our pasture back in shape. What I'd like is one of those portable electric corrals so I could move the horses around the non-fenced in areas while we let the pasture recover. Maybe for my birthday.

I hope that you dry out as much as you want -- and that the rain continues for us in the Southeast.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8926013554523279624.post-66039244160658608462008-04-15T07:52:00.000-07:002008-04-15T07:52:00.000-07:00Well, I have to laugh at Misty, cuz she's the bigg...Well, I have to laugh at Misty, cuz she's the biggest culpret for rolling and then her tail gets mud dreads and she hates the feel of the mud between her hind legs and walks funny!Calliehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05704537697611988375noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8926013554523279624.post-63950043716999846402008-04-15T07:35:00.000-07:002008-04-15T07:35:00.000-07:00I am so sick of muddy horses. It's been windy so that is helping dry things out but not fast enough for me. Got to go get shavings today, will probably have to morgtage the farm for them!!Midlife Momhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03531655128417397650noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8926013554523279624.post-55251782438836163652008-04-15T07:05:00.000-07:002008-04-15T07:05:00.000-07:00NuzMuz, I've decided that I'm not even going to at...NuzMuz, I've decided that I'm not even going to attempt their rough area, buat all the rest, so we'll see how it goes. I hoed and raked the barren areas, sprinkled seeds by hand, buried them and watered them, but nothing grew. I did the same thing, but with fertilizer, and nothing grew. So this spring I didn't want to put so much back-breaking effort into it for so little reward. I just threw the damn seeds down on the ground and drowned them in water. You know what? Grass is finally growing in those spots now.Nuzzling Muzzleshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07649710635013663900noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8926013554523279624.post-36629738362050231992008-04-14T18:26:00.000-07:002008-04-14T18:26:00.000-07:00GHM, LOL, if you look real close, you can see wher...GHM, LOL, if you look real close, you can see where she lays as the white hair is stuck to the ground.Calliehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05704537697611988375noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8926013554523279624.post-20917084851155095472008-04-14T17:05:00.000-07:002008-04-14T17:05:00.000-07:00Getting back into the swing of things and doing al...Getting back into the swing of things and doing all that needs to be done is a time consuming pain, but it's worth it in the end. I'm so glad it's getting warmer here too, we had rain yesterday, and if you want to see a paint horse full of mud we've got one for you. He is so filthy you can't even see his spots.Grey Horse Mattershttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05837575441967937196noreply@blogger.com
