Harvest Moon

I watched the most beautiful harvest moon rise tonight. Unfortunately, I was riding in the car on our way home from dinner and did not have my camera with me. So as soon as I got home I tried to get some pics, of course with the horses in them. And it took a while for them to settle down while I was there in the pasture with them that by the time they decided to stop nudging me and poking at the camera that the moon wasn't as orange as it was when I first went out there.

This is my favorite time of year. I love the cool nights. This last week the moon was so bright when I went out to do chores. The one morning I thought I must have over-slept it was so lit up. I get to see it coming and going doing chores at 4 in the morning and finishing at 8 or 9 at night.

Same here! I got home saw the moon rising bright and orange and grabbed the camera. Sadly, I couldn't catch anything, but it was beautiful.

What is it with horses, the minute they see a camera they have to stick their noses in it? LOL funny creatures.

It's been so cloudy here feels like I haven't seen the moon in weeks, but I'm sure it's only been a few days. Enough to miss a harvest moon.

Isn't it maddening it is almost impossible to take a good picture of the moon? We've had some spectacular mooons here too lately.

It was a beautiful moon that night and why those girls didn't want to pose perfectly for me under it is beyond me. lol
