Who's So Spoiled?

Spot on the daybed in Stephen's office, tucked in, head on pillow. I have never known a more loving, well behaved and spoiled rotten dog. He is often Mama's baby and Daddy's pal. Now that I've changed my hours and work every Friday and Saturday night, Monday is now often my errand day and Spot has now gotten into the habit of traveling along with me, the bank, the Co-op for grain, etc.. This past Monday, I took the Focus and Spot rode shotgun. Occasionally he'll bark at a stranger passing by while I'm in the store. He unfortunately, must have been scared, because when I returned to the car after my last stop, he had blown his butt glands. Oh my gosh, he was mortified and I needed a clothespin for my nose. Zoe will be so mad as the Focus is the car we let the kids use when they're home.

I don't know if this will work but it is supposed to: After cleaning up the seats, put a bag of charcoal brickettes in the car. Not the ones with lighter fluid included, but just plain charcoal. It should absorb the smell after a few days.
Poor pup.

That happened to Atticus once. We were camping and he was crying, keeping us awake. Jeremiah got mad and put him in the car. When we woke up in the morning it was everywhere. Poor puppy was so upset. He'd just been trying to tell us he had to go.

They're funny aren't they. With Spot, being a border collie, we have to watch for signs because he just doesn't come up and bark at us like the others. He gets restless, although he knows hundreds of words, I have to figure the word he wants to hear and then I have to contantly redirct him once outside because he'll go do his job (watching the goats or horses) and forget to potty, because his job comes first.
