Oh My, I wondered who was doing the chomping. I have the same problem here but no goat to blame it on. Still haven't figured out who the cuplrit is. LOL

Goats are both great fun and a pain in the ass. Where I used to work there was an acre of newly landscaped garden, rare plants chosen with care....the goats escaped and spent the weekend chomping to their hearts content. That was the summer of glossy coats and fond memories in the goat world.

As much as a pain in the ass they are, I love them. They crack me up. Yesterday I had to wrestle all three and worm them. Hoot! And my hay delivery came and Bill, the farmer, left me a messege on the machine that perhaps I should cut back their hay a bit as I had very fat goats, even though he thought that may be counter productive for his business. I had to laugh!

Oh my goodness, the goats actually eat their tails?! Poor horses must be getting quite annoyed!

About three years ago I had the goats eating one of my broadmare's tail. I think they like it, it is a lot like another horse grooming them. It's a comfort thing. When you find a spot on the horse that makes them really feel good they will try to return the favor and groom you.
