Well, as I work every Friday and Saturday twelve hour night shifts that leaves Steve in charge of all creatures indoors and outdoors. Our Goldfinches have returned. And the Cardinal continues to rival my truck. When I returned home Saturday morning from work, I was greeted by my Darling Husband, who had just spent two hours trying to capture escaped goats yet once again. Herman the goat has found himself a girlfriend in Kola and she him. Stephen said it was hilarious as Herman seemed to attach himself to Kola and the two of them walking around together, Herman at her side and Kola looking down and back at him to make sure he was by her side. As Steve attempted to bring the goats in again, they would take turns breaking out. It took him two hours to round them up finally. And this morning as I returned home, Stephen, afraid to tell me had somehow accidentally allowed Lilliput, the blind totally dependant kitty outdoors at about 9pm when he took the dogs out for their last wee of the night. He found her this morning all huddled up against the deck stairs soaking wet and freezing. We had decided she had been there for 9 hours freezing in the cold rain. Of course she then blamed it all mysteriously on me and continued to love on Steve and hiss at me as if it was all my fault. I'm glad to be home.

That's hilarious about the goat and Kola.Poor Stephen had his hands full, I like the fact that the poor freezing kitty blames you when it was his fault. Go figure.
I'm voting for a hidden camera to capture Steve and his loose goat adventures. They always sound like such a hoot. I'm sure he must be frustrated but they do sound like they'd be fun to watch.
Arlene, That kitty always blames me...LOL
Mikael,I agree, I need the camera soI can witness these crazy goat adventures!
Cats are so funny. She probably blames you for leaving her with him!! I would have loved to have seen the chasing goats scene! We just have the one and he is a handful! How long do those goats live for? We just got ours! I hope you get some sleep in after that long work weekend!
Callie, I am so glad you found your cat. My mom lost her indoor cat, Lily, two weeks ago, my mom accidently left the front door open. She was missing for 5 days. But they found her, two doors down, of course! I can relate to the goat adventures too, watching my sister's boyfriend round up theirs after a day of being picketed.
Andrea, Our goats are now just over two years old. I think they live up to 15 years. They are for sure quite crafty.
Thanks, Pony Girl, She is our only strictly indoor kitty, because she is blind with extra toes=extra claws. I have baby gates up all over the place to keep her from getting to cat flap and up on beams.
I bet the goats had a plan. They are crafty little buggers.
Awww-poor kitty...it is kinda funny that she blames you though. But doesn't it make you feel so good when they finally decide to "forgive" you for whatever perceived slight you may/may not have done to them?
lol, goats are very smart animals. Its cute that Kola has a boyfriend :)
cats! I love them, I once read or heard that they are better than dogs because you have to 'earn' their affection. Im not so sure I agree with that statement but my Marvin doesnt like anyone but ME and I like it that way....silly arent I?
Oh geeze.. LMAO.. I have this mental pic of Steve out there chasing the goats, shoes untied, shirt flapping in a brezze, hair up on end (again) and a crazed look in his eye, with that accent of his getting thicker and thicker are the goats keep pulling his chain.... hehehehehe.... Poor Steve... Yeah, that hidden camera is a definate good diea there Callie... LMAO...
Glad that the fussy blind kitty is ok. Rotten thing! When she "furgives" you, give her a pat from us!
Mrs.Mom, I for sure have to get that camera, because I'm missing all the entertainment here! It always happens while I'm at work!

Goats are strange manipulative creatures with their own agenda leading usually to eating things that they shouldn't.
Poor cat getting out in the rain. "They don't like it up 'em, Mr Mainwaring!" (Steve will explain if you don't understand.)
Oh, Julian, I'll now have to wake him from his nap to explain to me. It's got to be from some great British sitcom!
LOL, Julian, He starting singing the theme song!
