Why I Love My Life........

I can't put a photo to match all of the important people and creatures in my life that make it so great because this post would end up one ginormous photo album so I just put up a pic of my new roses.
The first reason my life is so great, is that wacky British Husband of mine, Steve. He is the love of my life. He keeps me grounded and loves me inspite of me. He supports me and indulges me and he is always there for me. I couldn't ask for a better partner, lover, best friend. I'm so glad he's here with me. I know I am blessed to have him in my life.
Our children. Between the two of us, we have three, Rebecca, Thomas & Zoe. Two of them came with him and one with me, but together we combine. They are all now wonderful young adults. They still give us the occasional headache and worry, TOM!, but that's what parenting is all about. We love all of them equally and worry about all of them equally and are proud of all of them equally. We are blessed to have our children.
My horses. That goes without saying. I've learned a lot these past eight years, companion to my horses. They too keep me grounded and are therapy to me. I love their personalities and know they appreciate me and what I can do for them.
The Goat Boys, who provide daily entertainment to us. They are friendly little boys, who gladly warm our hearts with happy little tail wiggles and goat kisses.
Our puppies, loyal and loving, and happily give warm puppy cuddles and kisses and have taught children to be caring and loving to all of God's creatures.
My wonderful little kitties, all their different personalities. Curling up on our laps, keeping us warm when it's chilly. Making us laugh, when they pop up on all fours into the air while playing with a mouse or a toy.
And all the other creatures that surround us in and out of this home. Stephen's silly little birds in his office and tanks of calming fish. The variety of birds that visit us annually at our home and come and build nests and bless us with their babies.
Family & Good Friends from long ago and new that share the same interests from all across this land and the world!
This home and little piece of land we sit on. Yeah, it's a pain to upkeep, but it's ours and it's inviting and comfortable and any visitor we have loves to be here. It's calm and peaceful and it's sometimes chaotic, but it's our home and I love it!
So all of this and more is why I love my life and can't imagine it being any different.

With all those critters you're lucky they don't want you to get a "zoo" liscense. lol Funny how critters can mean so much to some of us.

Thanks, BECS, I really feel that I'm finally there.

I know, Mikael, people at work can hardly believe it, but they're mostly city folk. It's a lifestyle!

What a great post! Sounds like you have quite the crew. I really want goats now. I don't think my loving, indulgent hubby would go for it though! ;-p

This post is a great reminder to me to be thankful and appreciate all of the good things I have in my life as well.

Thanks for sharing!

Thanks, Laura, I'm sure you can get his arm twisted just enough to get those goats. Just don't tell him they escape. Reinforce the fact that they make great lawnmowers and their poo just sweeps away....LOL

Callie,I'm so happy to see this post! As much as you have lived thru, it is really a gigantic turn in your life. You are so positive, I think it is great. We all dwell on bad things too much and fail to see the so many great things in our lives. You get a big pat on the back on this one, instead of a boot in the butt! Love you always.

The roses are a lovely symbol that all is right in your world. You sound as if you have come through some hard times and have dealt with it and moved on to a better place and happier times. Good for you and your family and critters.Congratulations for finding what makes you happy.A lot of people are looking right at what makes it right for them and don't even know they are where they should be, so just keep searching and being unhappy. All my best to you Callie, you are one of my favorite people.

Callie - I really believe that it's how you love that counts most in life. Your world sounds as full and happy and chaotic as mine, so I can appreciate your sentiments completely. And all those people and animals love you back. I'm so glad to know you and benefit from your energy and kindness.

Thanks, Victoria, I know we've only met on-line, but I get the feeling that you are one of the kindest & most sensitive persons I have ever met and I am grateful to know you.

Callie,
Thanks for stopping by my blog and leaving a comment... Great post, it's easy to forget what really matters and get "lost" in everyday life. I've learned alot this past year.
