What Music Does Everyone Listen To?
I'm curious as to what everyone listens to. My girls have a large loafing shed and it is connected to the electric fence so there is electric to it. I have a radio propped up in the rafters and the girls a serenaded to the sounds of popular country. Of course at Christmas, that station sometimes gets changed to the Christmas music station and once in a while I'll put on the classic rock station. But I soon tire of that and back on goes the country. I'm probably the only one in the world that drives an X-type with country music blaring out of it as well. So I'll have to say that my country music is first and foremost. And I've managed to turn on a number of British kids (young men and women) to the tunes of good old American Country as well. So there's a small group of British in the south of England, oh near Portsmouth that listen to country music crooners. Well, at least popular country music. So what does everyone else out there listen to??????

Great question. I listen to a little of everything, depending on what stations the car radio picks up . . . as I drive to and from the barn with my horse-crazy kids.
;-)
Today: MEME EXPRESS is all about RODEOS.
MEME EXPRESS – daily blog prompts
I've got to say my favorites are kind of the oldie stuff, like the Eagles, Chicago,Doobie Brothers etc... but I also like the older country stuff like Johnny Cash, Patsy Cline and some of the newer country like Reba, the girl who one American Idol(can't think of her name)I guess I like just about everything except the new whining stuff (where it all sounds the same), rap, opera etc. so go figure...
I listen to whatever I'm in the mood for. Country and rock are probably tops.
We love music in our house - My husband's a drummer and my daughter plays the bass guitar - but more importantly, my horses really enjoy music. SIlk gets very relaxed when she listens to Van Morrison - especially old tunes like "Moondance" and "Crazy Love". And Lyle Lovett, of course, we all love Lyle.
linda, Sometimes I listen to a little of everything to, but the screaming stuff and certain rap just irritates me and makes me angry.
Arlene, Those oldies are my generation as well and that girl is Carrie Underwood. Love her!
cdncowgirl, Me too, but mostly country.
Victoria, I do like Van Morrison too and gotto love Lyle. He's just too cool.
Well let's see I love country-Big & Rich is one of my favs right now! A country band with alittle rock flare to it! But I also like old rock like Motley Crue, Posion, AC/DC etc. I also like Godsmack (but some of there lyrics are too much!) I listen to what I am in the mood for!
I will have to agree to the rap and such.
I also forgot to add Broadway Musical tunes! We were just belting out Oklahoma tunes in the car as Steve brought home a new CD. LOL
Everything. Literally. Except heavy metal. I like Frank Sinatra to George Strait. I mostly listen to country or pop this days. Depends on my mood! ;)
I'm very one-sided when it comes to music. =\ I can only be into one band/singer at a time. xD
I was into country for yeeeears. Carrie Underwood, mostly. Then I had a Nickelback phase, and it all went hardcore industrial metal from there. xD It was Rammstein up until a few months ago. Right now, I like Oomph!.
...I feel abnormal. ;_;
Totally hooked on Country & Western. Always have been. Brill!
pony girl, Frankie and George are great. Oh George!
jupiter, I think my daughter might listen to Oomph and I may have been forced to listen at sometime.
dickieboo, Aaah, another Brit into country. But my question to you is...Is there a station in the UK that plays popular country? Because when I was there, all we managed to get in was the club scene and techno pop! Yikes!
Kid Rock and Big and Rich are some of Megan and I's favorites. But I like everything from Patsy Cline to Rob Zombie.
We only have 4 radio stations that we can get reception to around here and only one has good classic rock(which I love-I miss the 80's-LOL) so we usually listen to CD's while we are in the pickup. CMT starts our mornings in the house though.
BECS, Only four stations, Yikes!
I like a little of everything. My husband likes rap and hard rock, weird, right? He is such a cowboy. And I like country, 80's, and some classic rock. Really what ever mood I am in. I always check the country stations first!
I loooove Patsy Cline, the sad thing is we have karaoke almost every night in our lounge... I can't stand listening to people butcher her songs! lol
I have a pretty wide taste in music, but as I said before it is mainly country and rock. Of course that itself covers a lot... old country to modern, classic rock, "light" rock, harder rock.
I like bits and pieces of rock, alternative and country, but I always go back to country more often than anything.
I don't have a barn yet, but I am going to have to remember this blog and put a radio in there when I do get one built.
