A Busy Day!
This is where the damned coyotes are traipsing through, when there are fields all around us. I heard them under my window at about 3am this morning and by the time I got some shoes on and grabbed the gun, they were quiet and I wasn't sure if they were still out there. This is also the place in which our dogs keep rolling, which makes them stink, which also confirms it! Blasted coyotes!
I did some serious weed whacking today including the majority of the pasture, so that Steve and I can lay the weed killer and fertilizer down on the dewy pasture early tomorrow morning.
Because after tomorrow the girls may not see the pasture until spring, I allowed them out there for exactly two and a half hours, hence the halters. I wasn't going to chase them around the pasture to get them in. As it was I spent fifteen minutes playing halter tag in the paddock to get the halters on. They don't look too happy with me, do they?
I made a Tastefully Simple Beer Bread today, but only I used Ginger Ale instead of beer. It was good!
I thoroughly cleaned the house yesterday. I love a clean house. This is our media room up in the loft!

Love the rooms in your house, they look so warm and inviting. It would be an understatement to say you had a busy day, whew, bet you'll sleep good tonight-coyotes or not.
The two girls look pretty disgusted with the whole halter deal! lol! I don't put halters on often and I get that same look from my guys!
Your house looks so nice. I love your media room. What's the recipe for the Beer Bread? Or should I say the Ginger Ale Bread?! It looks yummy!
Thanks, Arlene, I've got a lot of work to do on this house yet. The kitchen needs an overhaul and our bedroom is not finished, so we have a lot to do, but what is done I love!
Midlife Mom, Yeah, I very rarely halter, but thwy have pistols lately with the whole halter thing. LOL. Thanks, I love the loft area too. The Beer bread, I'm afraid I'm a cheater and I use a box and water ever can of beer or soda is around. It comes from a company called Simply Tasteful. You can order over the internet I think. I alway get mine from a distributor at the fair, same with my kirby bags....LOL
Are you going to share your bread recipe? I think that i would use ginger ale, as well. People look at me funny when i buy one bottle of beer to make beer butt chicken - dont need another excuse for the looks.
What a cozy room - it's beautiful - Coyotes. Ugh. I hate that sound of them screaming in the night. We lost a kitty to them when we lived in California, so my cats stay inside all the time now. I didn't expect coyotes on the East Coast, but we've got lots of them.
Your house is amazing! I swear it looks a picture out of a home decorating magazine! Love it!
Coyotes, UGH! Good luck! I say start spotlighting and taking a few of them out, that normally moves then on down here!
They look p*ssed about them there halters! Hehehehe!!
Oh forget~beer bread yum-0!
