For Those Of You Who.......

Have that hidden weekend biker persona, it is Harley Davidson's 105th year and they are celebrating! Of living only 30 miles from Milwaukee, home of Harley Davidson, you can imagine what has been going on here all week. People have come from all over the world with their bikes to celebrate. This morning is the HD parade in down town Milwaukee, winding up at the Summerfest grounds where there has been and will be tons of live music and parties. There have been events all week. I did not have my camera with me yesterday, but the town of Lake Geneva was packed with bikers and amazing bikes. I have Harley after Harley going down our road and the Interstate, which is only 3 miles away nonstop for the past week. I know they are Harleys, very distinctive sound. Something that rumbles and vibrates in only the best of places, wink, wink, nudge, nudge, if ya know what I mean! We no longer ride in this family as many of you already know, I lost both of my parents 10 years apart to drunk drivers that hit them while they were on their (my parents) bikes, but I grew up on these things. I remember being three years old and sitting in front of my Dad on the tank of his bike, my Mom behind him and my bother and sister on my Brother's bike and going to a picnic. Both my parents were active HOG members. I still have my Mom's hat signed by Willy G.. So to all you Bikers out there, hardcore and weekend, have a safe ride and enjoy The Harley Davidson 105th Anniversary Celebration!

The only one in our family who rides is my son-in-law. There seems to be a lot of bikers around here too. Hope you enjoy the parade if you go.

Arlene, Oh hell no, I watched a bit of it on TV this morning. 75,000 bikes in this parade. I think it lasted 3-4 hours. Nope I went to watch the horse shows at the fair!
