Sure Feels Like Fall!

The leaves are really starting to fall!

It's raining and wet!

The poor girls were shivering before breakfast this morning.

They like their extra wind block on days like today.

The ground is saturated with fallen leaves

The leaves are starting to turn here now as well. And the temps taken a bit of a nose dive.

I don't mind fall so much actually, I can't take too much heat (not good for horses either) and the bugs all die off.

Howdy Cousin!
I love those pics!
Be sure to render a few guesses on my blog for the latest PC contest. Because you are a Pony Cousin, i will let you in on a few hints:
-You know that Pony Girl has a new header on her blog, right? What is she wearing?
-She Who Rides With Cuisinart was head Chuckwagon on the weekend trip.
-The Divine Ms C loves to "save" horses.
-Palomino Girl is known for her acerbic wit even though she "has fewer miles" on her.
There's a few hints! Should give you a leg up on the contest!

We don't have that yet it was 87 here today. I'm surprised it's now hotter than it was in August. Crazy weather.

The days are still pretty hot in Nevada, but the nights are chilly. I started blanketing the horses at night. Send some of that rain our way. We could use it.

CDN, I like the fall, easier to ride for me and the horses too, except for the rain!

SMR, Thanks for the hints, I'll try and give it a whirl, but I'm back to my weekend work schedule, so I'll be out of touch for a couple of days.

Le Cheval, They are big babies you can crawl underneath. Quite calm. I think our warm days are numbered now.

Arlene, LOL, Global Warming, although I shouldn't be laughing.

KDW, I wish we had the cool with some sun! Rain for a couple of days, leftover Gustav!

NuzMuz, I felt guilty this morning because they were shivering a bit, but I want to get there winter fuzzies and if I start blanketing now, I think it'll inpeed the growth and they'll really need it come January!

I'm not ready for Fall yet. Usually, I love it, but the summer went by so fast that I didn't get enough of it. Maybe if the weather would just stop flipping hot to cold to hot, I'd be more in the mood -- the leaves started changing really early here this year.

Callie said...

Victoria, Ours did too because it was so dry for two months.

Yep, it looks like fall. We are having a sunny spell right now, but I know before long the muds will be back. It's already getting dark so much earlier! I love the colored leaves though....I always look forward to those.
