Random Thursday

Our Mr.Hawk visited us this morning and this was the best picture I could get of him. It's been cold and rainy and just downright cruddy outside. Today will the big house clean and a freshen up of the troughs outside.

I was playing with the Google Picasa version of a photoshop. Easier than Photoshop, but obviously not quite as good. In my opinion, you need a college course in order to run the simple Photoshop Elements, well, at least I do.

I like the simpler photo programs as well.

However, I teach at a Vo Tech HS and the kids in the commercial art and design shop occasionally hand in English projects they have invented on PhotoShop. Positively amazing! When you know what you are doing, the program is incredible.

Cold an rainy here in NJ too. Yeech.

Birds really are hard to capture, but he looks good even from far away. I gave up on the Adobe photoshop(the only one who knows how to use it really well is my daughter Jacquie, but then again that's what she does for a living). I bought myself a program from a company called Corel, they have a lot to choose from, so I started out small and am working myself up to something that you can recognize. Anyway the weather is crappy here too, and it's a good day to play with the computer, now that the dogs are back from the groomers, the grocery shopping is done, and I visited my daughter and granddaughter for a bit. Or maybe I'll just take a nap!

It's not easy to use but time after time, tou'll succeed in using Photoshop.
I use Gimp the more often for it is free and I can put it on several computers(my family computers, work computers...) Each time I learn something more and when I do not know how to do something, I look for a tutoriel on the web.

I do, too. I have a program that came with my....(sob) previous camera that is called MGI PhotoSuite. It is very simple to use. Just doesn't have all the bells and whistles that Photoshop does.

Your black and whites turned out great. Kola is so pretty :)

I love photoshop elements. My sister taught me how ot use it. Once you get it down it really is super easy. I am sure I only tap into what the program can really do. But when I read the "how to's" on PW's blog, I can just about do it all in Elements. If you ever have any questions, I would love to help ya. And I am by far a computer master mind!!

I use a program called ACDSee and love it. It is simple to use and cheap to buy. I keep telling myself I need photoshop but never get around to buying it because I know then I will have to learn to use it.

Geez, I was thinking about getting Elements but I don't have time either! Sure wish the darn cameras could just take the pictures the way we need them to be without all this extra stuff.
