This Is Not An Arguement, Just Simply A Statement

Politics by it’s very nature is a cyclic process. When any party with their own political doctrine as been in power for too long and therefore allows the excesses of that doctrine to control the country, the Democratic process which we in the western world are lucky enough to have allows “the people” to force a change and bring politics further to the central ground. And then it begins all over again! I for one am proud to be a part of this historic moment, risky as it may be. I’ll bet it turns out ok! McCain too is a good man and his concession speach told the story.

I won't argue, but I'm thinking I may want to move to Canada. Living in the state that he is from I think I may be better off.

I think things will start to change for the better with the next administration. I'm hopeful.

OK, I'm from New Jersey. We were all blue. I am happy. We need a big change. I think President Obama is wise enough to bring good people into the government to sort out the mess. No President can do it all alone.

Personally, I think change is good right now and I too am happy, however cautiously optimistic as I believe it will take more than four years to straighten this mess out. I personally wouldn't want the job.

Bravo, thank you for not being overly opinionated, mean, nasty and rude to your blog followers like some have done. I think it only fair that we give the new guy a chance to prove himself or not. How can we condem someone because of a name, color of his skin or because we have heard that he doesn't wear a flag pin on his lapel. By the way he did. What if others judged us that way?

SMJ Farms, Thanks for weighing in. I'm really proud to be a part of this historic election and I must admit after reading some of the posts recently from blogs that I follow, I've chosen to bite my tongue. Frankly I'm shocked at some of the retoric and embarrassed. I agree with you, people need to look at the man who as a country we elected. NOT names, skin color, or whatever else it is that frightens them. We have had democratic presidents before. Some of it I just can't wrap my head around, the meaness about it. I look forward to the future.

I wasn't going to repond, because I didn't want to argue.

It seems that it's ok only if everyone agrees, and noone else has a different opinion.

America is about Freedom. Freedom to think, speak and feel the way we believe.
We don't have to agree, and I won't bash anyone's right to believe in things they choose.

But I expect that same right passed on to me, as well. It's called respect.

On that note, I will add that I have a great and grave concern about the direction our country may be heading under Obama's ruling. We all, as Americans must remember to keep this man in checks and balances. A President is very powerful and has the ability to make laws and changes, often without any approval from congress, that may not be in the best interest of the entire country.

We must remember to keep our eyes and ears open, and not be blinded by the words "Hope" and "Change".
Not all change is good.

Quite frankly, my family is discussing the possibility of moving out of the country, if the things that we foresee coming, do in fact, occur.

Peace.

Lisa, You should know by now, everyone's opinion is welcome here. I agree, the same checks and balances should be in place for this President, the same as they have been for this last one.
