Just Another Wednesday.................

All plans for today's outdoor clean-up have been shot to hell, due to the recent rainy crappy and cold weather. I had great plans for clearing the training pen and pulling the grater around, however it is now in a fine state of mud! And the quad has a flat tire, figures!

Jackson is now on the shit list as he decided to take the trek up the driveway towards the road, paying no mind to me screaming his name at the top of my lungs! Thankfully, I did get his attention before he made it there, but could not discipline as he did finally come and I don't him confused. I want him to enjoy coming to me, so he doesn't do stupid shit like this again, dumb ass dog! Mina and Spot, of course know their boundaries. Jack must learn his!

Stephen's precious Daffodils are in full bloom. He loves his Dafs and they sure are pretty.

The other part to today's plan, besides cleaning up outdoors and taking care of the burn pile was to clean these things up. What a fine muddy mess they are! And Kola is a tub o' lard! Great! Just in time for the vet visit tomorrow when they'll have their coggins drawn and the first of their Spring shots, rabies & Potomac.

On another note, the new Grandbaby has been ill. I don't want to go into details, but after Stephen spoke with his daughter, it sounds as if they are both in good hands with the follow-up and care that they will need. Stephen is working feverishly to restructure as his business is tanking and I have mandatory overtime that I've been doing. It's been a hell of a two weeks. Steve is back to walking on ankle, but not to where he was before Jackson slammed him. I imagine, it will take some more time. I am overwhelmed by the state of this house right now and just do not feel like cleaning it. I suppose I'll get to later! And I have been fighting with insurance companies over getting Zoe's wisdom teeth removed with at least partial coverage! My "going postal" list is growing!

That's a lot to handle all at once. My dog trainer once told a story about his dog, who was obviously very well trained being owned by a dog trainer, jumping out of the back of his pick up truck while he was stopped at a stoplight in order to run into a park to bite another dog. His dog had some kind of hatred for Australian Shepards, and any time he saw one, he'd attack it. So, the dog trainer called to him, the dog came back, and the dog trainer had to say, "Good boy!" because he came. The man who owned the dog that was bitten yelled, "HE BITES MY DOG AND YOU PRAISE HIM FOR IT!?!"

Sounds like you have your hands full with more than your share of problems. Hang in there, it's got to get better. Hope the baby and mom are doing well and have a speedy recovery.

I can relate to the "business tanking" thing -- we are in real estate!!! It has been a very difficult couple of years....
Also, I can sympathize with you about the mud...it is a mud-pit here, also. To hell with the house cleaning -- when it all gets overwhelming, something has got to give!!

I am so sorry you are having such a rough couple weeks! Hope baby gets better soon!
My Aussie's decided this morning they were going to take their morning stroll right on down the road! They wouldn't come when I called and by the time I got my shoes on and around the house they were running back to me. I think they realized they better come home! I don't punish mine either for running off because once you get them home you are punishing them for coming back to you! I can't get my other half to understand that!
Take care!

Callie, I'm sure hoping things make a turn for the better for you and your family soon. There definitely seems to be winds of strife blowing around a lot of good people lately. But if we all stick together, we will prevail. It's just a fact after all, that good will always triumph over evil. Sure hoping your little grandbaby picks up real soon. My prayers are with you all.

Sounds like another plateful. The mud/rain are making the outdoor cleanup awfully slow here too. My list goes on and on. And my house is a mess too. (Just want you to know you are not alone and that you have a ton more real reasons to be behind than I do, so don't feel so badly about it.)

Terrifies me whenever I think of an animal heading towards the road. Good thing Jackson listened at last. I am shaking thinking of it. Glad you did not scold him. Very good thinking!

When my vet took the Coggins, he took photos of the horses. A new thing apparently. OF course, my Boys were not well groomed for the photo session. Guess if I take them anywhere, I will need to add the muddy spots so they look like their Coggins's portraits. *lol*

Guess there is sure plenty on your plate right now. Yes, seems like so many of us in Bloggsville have had a plateful recently. Guess we just have to uphold one another in thought and prayer to get through it all.

So glad Jackson didn't make it to the road. Very scary!

Will be keeping your grandbaby in my prayers Callie! xoxo
