Scenes From Yesterday................

My Lilacs are blooming and smelling great!

My girls unimpressed after the last of their vaccinations. Kola jumped and I caused her to bleed. They received their WN-EWT and I gave them both a dose of banamine and held pressure on Kola's. Had to re-do hers because when she jumped I hadn't plunged it. I felt bad and she actually was pretty good through it all. Today, I'll go out there and put some antibiotic ointment over the spot if there's still a small bump and then cover it with aloe cream.

This little guy was less than 24 hours old. Not all of the babies are Jess's, just an FYI.

Angel, who clearly loves any attention and I received a mass amount of horsey kisses from her.

A couple of more new babies.

Jess's two Heelers and one is Jackson's brother. Jackson has joined them for now. Stephen and I had to make a difficult decision and bring Jack back to Jess's as he wasn't blending in very well here with our dogs and couldn't find his place in the pecking order. After we left and talking to Jess, I know Steve and I made the right decision. He blended in there as if he had been there his entire life.

It would have unfair to Jackson to try and keep him here. It was a hard decision to make, but I believe he needed only other Heelers and I think he'll be much happier.

This is kissy Angel again............

There's definitely an art to giving shots to animals. I'm amazed at how my vet always gets either a minimal reaction or no reaction at all out of my horses. I watch what he does, but I think a lot of it is mind power. He seems to be concentrating more on my horses' expressions than where he's sticking the needle in.

Here's your Jack update. I let him run loose this morning when I did chores and he stayed close and out of the pens. Even Spotter is teaching him to stay out. He stuck his nose under one and Spot corrected him. I had to correct him once. He catches on quick. He is learning his boundries.

NuzMuz, last week I gave their flu/rhino without an issue at all. My fault, I didn't tap her neck long enough to distract her.

Awesome, Jess, Glad to hear it, I think he'll be much happier there. He's a good boy.

I bet it was tough giving Jack up, but those darn heelers can be pickles and they don't always fit in. But glad Jess could take him back.

BEC, It was a tough decision, but the right one. It's tough for to admit defeat, but he would have been unhappy here. He had such a problem figuring out his place and that was heartbreaking in itself. I know he'll be happy with his original Mom.

Great pictures as always Callie! The shots are hard to do sometimes. I usually let someone else do them cause I am a wimp! We aren't on vacation, we are at a convention, for hubby's work. He,s in classes all morning and then we have a function every night. Do have some free time every day to do smething fun though. Today was the beach which I loved except for all the thong bikinis around ! lol!

Glad Jack is doing well at Jesse's, sometimes we have to make those hard decisions don't we but it looks like this one is going to work out well!

Love the lilacs and their scent. I just cut some and brought them inside.
It's too bad about Jackson, but maybe he will fit in better with dogs like himself. You can always visit him.
Great pictures, love those babies too.

I'm glad Jack found his place in the world. Sometimes a hard decision is exactly the right one.

I love huggy horses. *G*

Oh Shots! Grrrrr. My fella has been working out of town the last month and a half. We have lost 2 steers. So guess who had to give them their shots! It wasn't very fun, for me or those ol steers! Love all your babies!

I used to give my horses their shots and eventually decided to let my vet do it. My horses did well with shots but it was more that I didn't like to give them!
I am sorry that Jack didn't fit in at your place, he sounds like he will be happy at Jessie's!
