On A Funny Note.............
The girls were actually quiet and not high alert mode Monday night, however................
As I was upstairs already in my pajamas, Stephen walks by our large living room window that faces the back yard.......Stated there's an animal out there.............I said "What?, Is it a opossum?" Steve says that it looks like Liliput, our blind kitty who does not go outside. I say No Way, she wouldn't have gotten out. Stephen picked up the binoculars, mind you it is dark outside. I came flying down the stairs and look out the window, and shout, "It's opossums, and there's three of them!" We grab the nearest jackets and I arm myself with my killer .22 pellet gun, Ha! Which way do we go , we discuss as we're downing the stairs. This way says Stephen, so that we can sneak up behind them.......... I've got the gun pointed, Look at the size of that one, Stephen shout "Stop!" "That's your gazing ball!" I was ready to shoot the gazing ball that had fallen to the ground, Steve was ready to shoot a corn husk, which is what he originally thought was an animal and we were both ready to shoot a cinder block I have next to a tree......... We did have a short giggle at ourselves afterward.........The next morning, I was house cleaning and I picked up the binoculars and one lens still had the cover on!

That's a very funny story, have you two ever considered night goggle attachments for the binoculars or ...glasses!
Laughing! Remind me not to come around your place after dark! What a great story!
LOL !!! No harm no foul and a great laugh at ones self. Gotta love it.
Lol, that's the craziest story! Prowlers beware, lol!
Nope, Im not going to come creeping around your house at night!! lol!
Reminds me of one day my friends and I were riding by the river. I said hey look at that animal swimming across!!! We watched, and watched, and watched until we discovered it was just a log that was sticking up out of the water!! Duh! They've never let us forget that one!!
Danger after dark at your farm for all forms of strange shaped objects. *lol* I've seen a few things in the past I thought were critters too, but I don't tend to shoot.
Oh, and I do have an opossum--at least one. So far, not near the horses, but it's kind of hard to do anything about it anyhow as the woods/state park is just at the edge of my property. I'd be out there chasing critters 24/7.
That's hilarious! I'm glad to hear everything turned out fine. Goodness, that must have been a fun adventure!
Unfortunately , this more like our norm.........LOL!
roflmbo!! Well at least you weren't out there just shooting at everything. lol!
Thanks for the laughs today.
