I received a comment the other day on how someone was using my A4 Year Posters and I thought it was a clever use of them , and thought I would share it here .
The lady printed off each different years poster for her families 4 generations who were coming to XMAS dinner and laminated them , then she will use them at Christmas dinner as place mats.
Now as someone who created them over the last 12 months I have seen them used at School Reunions, Wedding Anniversaries and Birthdays.
The reason I thought this was such a great idea is imagine a 16 yr old starting off the conversation when he reads that in 1949 when his grandfather was born a gallon of gas cost 17 cents and the average wage per year was less than $3,000 a year. Color TV was just an experiment and China was just becoming a communist country.
Now also imagine the surprise when he is told Mobile Phones, Home Computers, The Internet, Barbie Dolls and just about all the other things he takes for granted are not even words in the dictionary,
What a great way to break down the generation gap
This is the one from the year I was Born I am getting old.
Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays from Steve

That's a great idea. I'm right behind you at '51, I'm feeling pretty old these days myself.
What a neat idea!!
Many things we take for granted now were just dreams when we were young.
I'm a year older, so don't complain too much. *G*
What a great idea...both the calendar and the placemat idea! If these are your brainchild, my compliments. Very, very clever.
Might make a great birthday party decoration idea.
Clever use of the calendars!
Happy New Year! What a cute way to humiliate your dear ones! SMR stamp of approval!
