Conditioning & Practice?

As Stephen and I were out and about running our morning errands, we came across this. Which required us to turn down a new back road in order for me to snap some photos.........Found it interesting.........Looks like they might be getting some winter exercise and conditioning, getting ready for perhaps the Midwest Horse Fair, which is my guess.

I have to get pics of it sometime but there's a man that drives a team with what looks like a stagecoach (obviously in the summer, not winter! lol)

If you click the pic and look closely, you can see the dude inside and to me it looks like an old ice shanty with a large tractor tire dagging along behind, LOL!

We used to see Amish with Percheron's in Tundra Country. Oh man were those some beautiful horses-- solid well muscled jet black, against the new snow... so pretty. (The sect that lived near us really went above and beyond the norm to care for all their livestock. All the horses were in amazing shape, and their overall health showed.)

Great looking horse, I was trying to figure out what was being pulled. Thanks for clearing that up in your comment.

"Ice shanty" is generous. Looks like a poorly made plywood outhouse to me. :-D

Getting into shape or not, that's just plain weird.

That picture made me giggle, and it sure looks like an outhouse to me with a tractor tire weight.
