Another Busy Week.................

Jeremiah will here on Wednesday to trim these girls, a long time coming...........They definitely need it. And of course the weather is finally nice, not too hot, not cold and rainy, but now I'm sick with some sort of respiratory virus.........figures...........And it's time to order hay again.
Stephen and Zoe managed to revive our little backyard pond. I'm not too sure how I feel about the over abundance of gnomes..........
The box gardens are going mad! We've plucked spinach and lettuce already, even having so much spinach, that the goats have gotten a little treat every now and then. I even have a few asparagus sprouts starting. It will about two years to establish those crowns. I miss my asparagus. I used to have a huge bed in the back, but mowed down in frustration because it had gotten so overgrown with brambles and such, so it will nice to have it a bit contained.

Well, the big boat has been sold and Stephen got himself this little 19 footer to replace, only every day we've gone down to the slip, it's been unseasonably HOT! And now we need to take a closer look at the hydraulics. It is a cutie, though and perfect for us, rather than trying to manage the 28 footer.

On a funny note, a question, Has anyone out there seen the movie "Bridesmaids" yet. Zoe & I saw it last week. I must admit, I do not think I've ever laughed that hard and out loud in a theatre in my life. I highly recommend it. It was funny!

Love the boat! Your boxes look great too. I need to do those here.
The gnomes had me cracking up! How many are there? and why?

Well, Mikey, It's a long story about the gnomes.........The first year Zoe returned home from University, her old high-school friends vandalized all of our local towns homes for gnomes and placed them all along our driveway & when I came home from work one morning, I obviously discovered the display. Not knowing really how to react & not really wanting to call the police about alleged stolen gnomes, they've had a home here ever since, so Stephen and Zoe thought they would put the obnoxious things to use and surround the pond with them. I personally wanted to see a more zen type pond, however, we are now stuck with the multitude of lawn ornaments.........LOL! I do not care for them, they give me the creeps!

The gnomes are funny. I remembered when you first acquired them. How about distributing them around town in the dark of night as a "gift" to other gnomeless households?

Love the boat, good luck and lots of fun with it. Your gardens look great and so do the girls.

Feel better.

That's a great boat, you will spend many happy hours out on the water with it. I agree, the smaller version is so much easier, that is what we have too.

Your two furry kids look great! I have been mowing clover, Little Bud got a slight case of the slobbers last summer. Got to get someone here to put something on that pasture that won't hurt the boys but will get rid of the clover. Is it the white or the purple clover that causes the slobbers?

Got to love the gnomes! What a hoot! The pond looks great!!!!

In a nation where ownership of firearms is general you could have a diverting party where friends practice their marksmanship on the gnomes. Personally I'd choose some kind of automatic weapon in order to take out a multitude of them...however you might consider that to be cheating.

Hay time seems to pop up way too frequently!! I love the pond, though I can understand your feelings about the gnome overpopulation...a little creepy! The boat looks great....Hope you enjoy your summer!
