Smokey

This is Smokey and me(gosh I need a facelift). Our tour guide on the 26th, in Milwaukee. He is an 11 year old Belgian. Built like a brick poop house. He was a sweetie. Of course a horse person is going find out all I can about the horse. He was especially fond of my daughter, who acts like she doesn't really care for horses, but she got right up there and he rested is head on her shoulder. My nearly 19 year old daughter is a tiny 5'2" thing.

Hello, Smokey, he is a big boy! I don't think I'd like a horse that big resting his head on my shoulder, I'd probably fall over. lol

He was a big stout boy. And very well mannered and quite sweet. A nice horse, but those drafts have a reputation for being gentle giants don't they.

Beautiful horse...did you have a carriage ride?

Yes we did.

Absolutely love those draft horses. It was on my wish list for Christmas. No luck so far.

Several people in my area have drafts for trail. How gentle and sweet they are.

I've seen several advertised north of Milwaukee. I'm very tempted to take another trip back there.

I came real close to buying a draft-cross. Although they're generally great horses. I can't wrap my head around the size. And I forge better relationships with mares than geldings. Geldings always push me around in the end. Weird!
