Well, Steve and I managed to get a lot accomplished today before we get 8 inches of snow tonight. Crap! More snow! Tried to burn the burn pile, but it's still too wet. I managed to get all the poop, hay and pee out of the lean-to. Four wheelbarrows full and spread on our neighbor's field. Did this early, so the morning sun dried out the mats nicely. Of course they had to come back in and periodically inspect the job I was doing. I felt quite clever as well, because I disconnected the bottom rung of wire, so I could easily bring the wheelbarrow in and out without going through the mud. Swept out my feed shed and cleared one half of the garage so that we could park the Jag indoors to dry it out (having a bit of electrical dashboard problems because of dampness). Filled all tires of all vehicles including ATV, excluding lawn tractor, but I muscled that one into the corner of the garage. Got all tools with handles put away IE: brooms, pitch forks, shovels, etc. Took the garbage down to the end of the drive for the morning. Pulled the hanging useless part off my duel exhaust of the truck. Cleared some of the garbage blown in the yard by the wind and before we put the quad away, Steve and I took a ride down the field with the dogs tagging along. Oh and cleaned and watered troughs before snow and work tomorrow. The house? Forget it! I've started a load of laundry and that's all I'm doing...........All before 12:30! Wow, It feels good to get so much accomplished!

You GO Girl! Must be something int he air (except for the snow part that is...) We had a day like that today too--- horses done, paddock cleaned, water tanks washed and refilled, and entire house vac'd and steam cleaned, laundry done, fed boys three times, self once, dog in dog out.. yada yada yada... and now I am taking a brief break from getting dinner ready and playing in the sandbox wit the kids.
Hope the snow MISSES you!
Horsey kisses to all-
Yeah, It got to forty degrees today and sunny...LOL...And unfortunately Winter Storm Warning starting tonight at midnight and going until tomorrow evening which worries me as I have to leave for work in the middle of it and Steve has to drive 90 miles to Chicago and get Zoe from the airport. I worry about the her flying in this crap more so landing in it and him driving the Focus down there. I'll have the shits for 24 hours over it, I'm sure.........
It feels good to get so much done, doesn't it. Sounds like you deserve a rest, go put your feet up and cross your fingers the snow will pass right by or not happen at all.
Arlene, I wish the snow would just pass by. Already had my bubble bath. Will probably chill the rest of the night :)
I grew up near Chicago, so I remember many an Easter when it snowed - I feel your pain! Hope it doesn't come our way. We're just digging out from 3 inches of rain and more muddy corrals. Some first day of Spring!
You got a ton done and I am so jealous. I guess I said that already over the photoshop. I sure hope my comment came through. The puter did something wierd.
Today, I just sat at home in a chair. I have an ear infection that is killing me. I so wanted to go to the barn and when I couldn't do that working in the yard would have been ok but instead I had hot packs on my ear and snoozed. So frustrating.
I actually went out this morning to feed and popped on their blankets for the storm!
