I think I have it bad with all of the mud. This was some of the scenery on our way home from Janesville yesterday. And it's not even completely melted. There were rivers of water flowing past us on both sides of the road. Those horses in the background were trudging through at least a foot of water, poor things. And the water was moving so fast..........Amazing!

Donna, Good, Welcome.....Hope ya like it here! ;)
Wow, just looking at those horses makes my shiver.
Poor horses, not a good place to be right now.
Mikael and Arlene, I felt so bad for those poor horses. If it was my property, I'd be freaking out and moving training pen panels around to higher ground, or even lookin' for a temporary board or neighbor to put them in for a month. Can't imagine the state of hooves standing in a foot of cold water 24/7.
poor horses! makes me wonder about their owners.....I would not let my horses or any animal deal with that kind of water. Definitely move them to a temporary place.
BG, I know, ther's no way and I spoke with Jess and she thinks I should call the county sheriff. I thought I would run by there agian this week and see if they're still standing in it. They have been in the process of making arrangements. We go past them often and the horses never look starved or anything.
