Scenes From Today

My girls, greeting me as I returned home. Some wild turkeys. A neighbor's horses lounging in the sun. A neighbor's llamas, one looking rather annoyed. And some "wild" roosters in the ditch of a country road. This is why I love the country!

We have wild peacocks. I keep meaning to take my camera in my car with me to work, so I can get a picture of them when they come out to the roadside at dusk on my way home. If I ever get that coveted shot, I'll post it. In the meantime, I found an old photo of Oscar during that family vacation and posted it for you with the help of my new scanner.

That's a pretty cute collection of animals. I love the country too, so much better than buildings that never change the scenery. Animals are always different.

You have an interesting bunch of critters around your place! Do the llamas spit at you if you get too close to them? We had one in our neighborhood and if you looked him square in the eye he would spit this horrendous green stuff on you! Needless to say you only looked him in the eye once!! lol! I enjoyed the video of your horses with their ears perked right up, sooooo pretty!!!

NuzMuz, Peacocks? Geeze, aren't those thing really loud?

Arlene, It was a treat coming home from errands and just pulling over with the camera. I always try and bring it with because you never know what you're going to run across.

Midlife Mom, I haven't been that close to these particular llamas, but I do believe the answer to that question is Yes, because I been spit on before. They are hilarious. The one with his ears pinned back is clearly annoyed with me. Thanks, on the girls, they were funny all together now...LOL

A bachelor herd of roosters---interesting that they get along. I guess trouble comes when a hen shows up:-)
