This is Poison and her half brother Bully-bully.
They are corriante/longhorn crosses. I'm calf sitting until they go to a sale in October. Poison was accidently separted from her mom so she came here. I thought I would give her a cute cow name. She tried to butt me then turned and kicked when I went in the stall. I decided maybe she needed a friend and she would calm down. WRONG!! She then tried to kill my goat. I decided she was pure poison, thus her new name. She has gotten much better, I can lead (drag) her with a halter. At least I can get it on without being scarred for life. Her brother showed up when the calf it was with drowned in a freak accident. They were out in the pasture with the mama's and it ended up in the water tank. Another cow must of flipped it in. When I feed them the bull calf runs over and lays on the food so Poison cannot eat, thus his name, he is such a Bully. He is much more friendly with people, he realizes who feeds him. Callie, one of these type would be good for your "Walter". She should mature to around 600 to 700 pounds in the next 3 years, he will be a little bigger. That would be ok for smaller pens.

Hee Hee! I think Steve would have my hide if I brought one home! Too cute! Could I name a girl Walter?
What a silly little calf! I love the name you picked out for her. And that bull calf, how mean is he to sit on her food!! LOL! I have no experiance with calves at all.
Calves are funny things to watch! They crack me up! The name just kills me!
OMGosh they are so cute and silly and what personalities!
I have always wanted a cow.
They are adorable!!!
Great round pen! They come in handy for lots of things. Are you going to practice working cowhorse now that you have a couple of critters in there?
Callie, you can call her Miss Walter or Lady Walter. We do that with Mr and Mrs Kansas. Colton stole my name thinking we wouldn't be owning both horses. They both came from an auction in Kansas. The calves are so funny. They talk to my mom in the morning. They seem to like her much better.
They look so teenie! I saw "Poison" and I thought "Oh No!!!!" You got me:-)
Hi Shirley, that pen is just a turn out until it is time to start 2 year olds. We usually go to our friend's place to work our horses. We cut, so our place is just ok to start them. Photogchic, didn't think about the title until it was posted. She does fit her name though.
