Try And Get A Little Rest!

As Friday is my sleep in day because of a 12 night shift, I woke up at 5am to the flap, flap, flap of something that did not sound like your typical bird. On No! It wasn't a bird at all! It was a very large Brown Bat! Stephen came to the rescue with the net, however as dawn was breaking, it disappeared into the rafters of our bedroom! Stellar!

Then several hours later when I returned to the bedroom from the couch, the pups joined me and as I was falling asleep again, this little man decided to wash my face, only to throw up on my face a bucket of water, foam and grass! Yep! That's typical of this household. I finally did get a few hours of nap time in!

I am speechless. Really just speechless. Between bats and dog vomit, I don't know where to begin.

Thankfully my dogs haven't done that to me, but if it's any consolation, I do have a patch of dried dog vomit sitting on my carpet. It's been there for about three days now. I keep forgetting about it, but now that your post reminded me, I will go clean it up!

Oh no a bat and barf! How awful is that when you are trying to sleep. My dog Murphy comes over to pant (dog breath) in my face if I lay on the couch. Once I had a bat in my toilet bowl, he must have come in with the dogs one night and luckily I saw him in the morning before...well you know! Country living is the life for me.

Lol, one of those days you ought to just pull the covers over your head and refuse to come out. That's always a bad way to start the day!!

I'm sorry, but I laughed so hard when I read the part about your dog throwing up - that's the kind of thing that would happen to me! And your reaction was about like mine would have been - Oh those dogs! I think you're very brave about the bat though. I'm intrigued by bats but scared of them. Hope that you have a much calmer and very relaxing week-end.
