OK, Then............The Barn Diva Fashion Show

Since it appears I may have freaked a few of you out with my ghostly post. I will now change directions and challenge you all. This will be a "Barn Diva" Fashion show across the horse bloggers of the world. This idea was inspired by a comment left by Tracey at Mustang Diaries, when I had posted that lovely picture of myself in the morning feeding the animals. So begins the Barn Diva Fashion Show. I will begin with myself and I expect to travel around to your blogs and see you modeling your best or worst barn wear. I mean what you look like when you feed your horses or such. Not all fancy and all, just you in your barn gear!

So here I am modeling some of my best barn gear. Cut off at the ankle black sweat pants with bleach stains tucked into dilapidated muck boots. Also the ever so stylish over sized men's red sweatshirt, also with bleach stains. Old coat with broken zipper, stretchy black gloves peppered with hay and yes my crazy winter hat. This is cold weather barn gear. I may at some point add my warm weather barn gear, which may include men's boxer shorts, t-shirt and yes my very used cowboy boots.

Nothing like chunky gams to show off!

I laughed out loud at this post. Are you sure you want to see me in the morning??? Talk about scary for Halloween. I'd like to keep my readers, lol!
I'm going to do it though. My evening wear is standard, but the mornings are always interesting... I've been known to come to life midway thru feeding and look down to see I'm wearing hubby's boxers, backwards. I tell ya, it's not pretty...
PS, love your shorts and boots! High fashion right there!!

Heehee-the only thing I like about winter is the fact that I never have to actually get "dressed". I can wear my PJ's all day-slip on the old coveralls, zip em up and ta-da...I'm ready to go to work.
Oh and the rest of the year? It's still pj's in the am-LOL.

lol! The boots and shorts look is cute!
And I've been wanting a hat with those adorable ear flaps for a couple years now. Can't seem to find them. Looks like I'll have to just knit me one instead. lol!

I'm a bit like Mikey, in that my evening barn wear is standard: jeans, t-shirt, jacket, muck boots.

But in the morning, anything goes. Whatever I wake up in and can throw on on the way to the barn.

This morning would have been stellar to post, but the clotehs are all dirty now.
I wore red PJ pants with white polar bears and black & white penguins on them. Top that off with a putrid green t-shirt with odd stains on the front. And on my feet: rubber barn clogs. Head: straw cowboy hat. It wasn't pretty! lol!

I don't know anyone who looks great in the morning! I mean what's wrong with going out in p.j.'s and boots and mismatched gloves, hats and lets not forget the very warm over sized hay infested coat.
I loved you ghosting stories and don't think you freaked anybody out. They were really interesting.

I think it is a lovely feeding get-up.

I wear whatever I wore to work, which is usually ratty jeans and a stained tshirt and Crocs. Which only got to be in that condition from feeding in those clothes.

But I am lucky too in that I have a little help at the barn so if I have had a day in court or am otherwise gussied up, I can skip it

At least your legs look shaved! I get teased all the time showing up to the barn in old/ dirty/ torn clothes and bed head...

Funny idea ! I have no picture of me in the club barn. All i can say is I wear black trousers, brown jacket and long black plastic boots. These are my pieces of garment to go to the club. But I never go there on early morning. Those who go there at this time either work there or go for a competition and must prepare their horse. I do not play in competitions, it generates too much stress.
Have a good day.

lol. In the mornings, I usually wear my nightgown and bright green rubber boots with my ancient overcoat, ragged and torn, over all. For gloves, I wear woolen gloves, often different colors, with at least two fingers exposed, and usually stuck with hay or burrs. If it's cold, I'll thrown on a muffler and hat and warmer gloves.
Usually, by afternoons, I'm more presentable, although I do have a fondness for my ripped knee blue jeans.

I wish I had a photo of me out feeding "The Girls" -- usually the ensemble is an old t-shirt, old flannel shirt (that used to belong to my husband), old jeans, and whatever kind of shoes I can slip on (I keep about 2 or 3 pair specifically for the barn). To get an idea of "the look," I have a photo taken of me last week at Brown County State Park (IN). My husband just hates my hat....I think its great -- it has seen a lot of trail rides!!
