Another blast of frigid cold this week. I cannot wait until this weather breaks! It's about all I can take! I have so much to do and am now just overwhelmed. I must work two 4 hour shifts this week as my mandatory overtime. New furniture will be delivered this week sometime and I have to top off horses water, order more hay that is now up to $7 a bale and I have to clean this crap hole once again. I don't even know where to begin. Youngest child is having a meltdown over her future and where she wants to continue her education.
Jack puppy makes it difficult to clean with him constantly chewing at my feet , so he must be put in crate which then brings on the howling. I'm already starting the day with a headache! So I'm off to clean and do chores and what not. I suspect that when this day draws to a close, I'll be quite exhausted. Wish me luck!

I'm so with you on being ready for spring. Hubby was saying last night in the truck that he's anticipating fresh asparagus in less than 90 days. Personally, I'm anticipating being able to go see the horses without crawling into my coveralls!
Brome/grass hay here is still about $4.75 a bale, which is up about $1.25 from last fall. But it was a good hay year out here.... Good luck finding some good stuff!
This weather is enough to make anyone go crazy. Good luck with all your chores and take a nice bubble bath tonight and relax.
Well it izzzz a Monday... sounds like someone has the case of the "mundies" :-) I hope your week improves!
I hope things thaw out for you guys soon!
You can consider yourself lucky on the hay front, we've been paying $19.25 a bale for a while now. :(
It has been doubley miserable to tolerate since we had a few nice days. And to think, we could have to deal with this weather for another MONTH to 6 weeks. At least for us...usually by March we start getting warmer temperatures.
I WANT TO RIDE!!
I here ya, gals, I'm so fed up with this cold! Not looking forward to amount of mud and crap to clean up, but gosh for the warmer weather!
Hi, I visited you a while back and you sent me some great links which I totally didn't find the time to do anything with! But Now I hope to. We are having a fun little drawing for a little Equine Valentine gift on our doublehphorseshelter blogspot. all you have to do is leave a comment! tell all your friends. thanks. What a morning!! I can not stand it when my puppy barks in her kennel. It seems like she will only do it when it's super quiet in our house and the kids are sleeping!! I hope your headache goes away, and I hope you stay warm. I don't blame you for not liking snow. I do not miss living in Ohio at all. No more snow for me!!
I hear you! And we've still got February to slog through. Now is the time for someone to invent a way for us to tele-port ourselves to a sunny beach in the blogosphere.... oh yeah, I guess people already do that and it's called a vacation.
Callie, we have been payin 2.50 to 3.00 a bale. You may want to look else where. I can always pick some up and bring it to work for you to pick it up.
$7 a bale!!!! YIKES!!! We paid $4 last fall, and to us that was unreal! Pray for a good spring, with the weather just right for drying, etc.......I feel for ya!
