Oh, I hate the burr mohawks. Chance's forelock is not that thick to start out with and pulling out the burrs thins it even more.

And get this...one day, I was pulling burrs and on of the tiny little spurs went into my eye!! I had to go to my eye doctor to have it removed as my eye was bleeding from it.

I spent a several days hunting down every possible burr bush on the property and removing them...but they'll be back!

Oh yeah, we've got a lot of those around the farm. We just spent all day Saturday, grooming and de-burring. Sammi with that long Arabian mane of his was the absolute worst. If he keeps it up it's going to be a lot shorter real soon.

I know exactly how you feel! My horses don't get alot of burs but they get alot of sticks and mud! I just had to detangle Fritzy's mane again yesterday, her mane is so long it gets very messy!

HATE the burrs!!! But it dawns on me -- when you bought those pretty pink halters I said they would be unrecognizable in about a week....well, looks like I was wrong! Still looks pretty pink to me!!

I have this thing for burrs!! I HATE them! Our yard is full of them and the pasture across the street from us has HUGE burrs in it. My mares always manage to get some in their manes! They are a pest to get out!
