It's Been Busy Around Here........

But, in the past two days, I've managed to accomplish quite a lot. The hoof supplements are getting eaten and doing the job! Kola is dropping some of that weight and with daily turnout, they're getting their exercise.

This was the Paddock before I managed with the ingenuity of my marvelous husband and in spite of a crap battery, to get the arena and paddock dragged.

Looks better, doesn't it.......Must feel better on their feet as well.

I was so pleased with this.......... And the with two trips to the lawnmower shop, the lawn tractor is finally fixed and yesterday, I managed to get the entire lawn mowed. It was going mad and needed mowing badly! I even managed to clean out a few flower beds. Oh, I am sore today, though. But, very pleased with the results!

What an accomplishment! Yes, it does look great. Now if you could just come to my place........

I can relate to that. I've been dragging riding arenas and paddocks too. We just had the crop production company come and fertilize and reseed etc... Your place looks great, I can see it was a lot of work.

Thanks! I'm sore to prove it too, but pissed today as they said it was supposed to storm all day, I was lazy and did nothing but a few indoor chores. Not a drop! I could have been outside all day finishing the gardening!

That paddock looks great! Good job!! It's so muddy at the stable I sink right in when I go out to bring the horses in. I hate spring, I really do because I hate all the mud. It pulls the shoes right off the horses feet sometimes so I leave them barefoot for as long as I can. It's supposed to rain all day tomorrow here so I guess we're going to have nice green grass to mow!

Ahhhh, the feeling of accomplishment. I kind of like the pain that comes with it, because it reminds me that I swept one more item off my To Do List.

Lovely job. Nothing like a freshly dragged area to look good! Too wet here to do such things.

Glad the mower is fixed. My grass just keeps growing in the rain and it's too wet to mow it, so I know how you felt not being able to do yours. What is it about a mowed lawn that just makes you feel so organized and happy?

Good girl!! You have been busy. That sounds like our weekend almost 2 weeks ago. Our lawn was out of control - we could almost watch it growing! Got some flower beds cleaned out, new dirt hauled in, edging and mowing done, tree trimming...I'm tired again!
But, what I really want to accomplish is that tractor work. Your lot looks much better! I'm going to see if our neighbor will bring his tractor over and do some dragging/leveling work for us in the outside riding area. Then, fingers crossed - the weather will dry up and I can start riding again. I need to get on my horse! Oh, thanks for the comment and well-wishes about our truck. We were blessed! Water pump and serpentine belt...hubby can do that. And, the shop did not charge us for the diagnostics. That was cool! Enjoy your spring weather, and don't work too hard...slow and steady.

Wow - that looks great. I need to do that once it stops raining here. Our lilacs are blooming too, along with the lily of the valley. I keep bringing huge bouquets into the house- they smell so good! It cuts down the scent of "eau de dog".

Same thing's going on here. It keeps raining, the barn yard is a mess, and hubby has to get out there and drag it. And our riding lawnmower had to go to the shop. It was starting to look like a jungle out there. Five hundred dollars later... The good news is we taught our daughter how to drive it. One less chore for me. SHE thinks it's fun!

By the way, thanks for your kind words about my mom. It helps.

It looks great! It's easy to see how hard you've been working. Your dirt is so rich and black. I bet you can grow a wonderful garden with that dirt.
Around here we have lots of sand and gravel..and hard packed caliche. Dragging does nothing, except maybe break the tool and even the tractor. hah!
